Are posts being deleted?

I notice some of the posts I made are not appearing.

Yes, some of the threads have been deleted. This was done as the threads were quite old and no longer relevant. Its just something that is done from time to time to keep the forum tidy.

Stop trying to cause trouble, Christine. People hardly post, so how can it be happening 'more and more'?

You know full well the posts in The Cooking Pot Release thread (mine included) were deleted tonight because they were off topic and irrelevant to the thread title.

So if I create a new topic for 'Cooking Pot Promotion' and re-post the deleted items, these then will not be censored?

lol, Tracy, don't try and turn it around to make ME look bad, I was, in fact, referring to the conversation that you and Clive were having in the Cooking Pot thread, which, incidently was ON topic, as Clive was querying the promotion of it. Smile

and it wasn't me that started this thread, I think Mick was probably referring to his posts.

If you wish for everyone to read our 'debate' then fair enough. But if members start saying they are fed up reading arguments then it will be deleted again.

Those exchanges serve no purpose for anyone else.

As was I.

And his query was answered by Blue Aardvark, and the conversation was dealt with, weeks ago.

These little digs by yourself an Clive are causing an atmosphere that puts people off coming here, and causes arguments which I, as administrator, am trying to avoid.

So, once again, please stop trying to cause trouble.

The exchanges may serve to shed light on processes (not) followed.

It wasn't an argument - it was me stating facts regarding promotional tools and activities and you apparently denying knowledge of offers of assistance.

If you wish to continue this, please do so via PM as it is of no relevance to the forum, nor other members, to continue this petty "you-said/I-said" conversation in any of these threads.

Thank you.

As I understand it, the Forum is a ...forum...for exchange of views, comments, opinions, and in this case as the comments do pertain to the subject - The Dualers, their music and the enjoyment, promotion and marketing thereof - have every relevance to this Forum and its members.

With all due respect, there is nothing 'petty' in the points I have made, which is why I made them.

Is it not for our fellow members to choose which postings to read/respond to/ignore, rather than to be denied such opportunity by somewhat zealous 'administration'?

Fellow fans may not be aware that some opportunities for furtherance/promotion of the Dualers' career may have been overlooked for whatever reason, though these opportunities may remain available.

Opportunities or offers from yourself, Clive, were not overlooked. You just failed to talk to Tyber and/or Simon about it yourself, and hoped that someone would read it on here and do it for you. After all, you have so many connections in the industry I fail to see why you would leave it up to someone else to pass it on second hand. Please, feel free to be more proactive if you think others are not being so.

But I don't think any members of the forum would be interested in any of these posts. And quite frankly, I wouldn't blame them if they were fed up with what appears to be bickering, whether intended or not.

Please, I ask you again, to stop with this pettiness, on behalf of all the poor folk who are fed up with this atmosphere on the forum.

If you must continue with it, please do so via PM.

I'm sorry that I appear to have misunderstood the channels of communication to the ears of the Dualers, and Tyber in particular, who I understand is overseeing the Cooking Pot project.

I thought, from your postings, that you had some regular contact with Tyber, who you have mentioned as 'coming round' to see you from time to time, whereas I am expected to discuss matters of business with him at twice-yearly mid-busk encounters on the streets of south east London.

It is also generous of you to pre-judge what fellow forum members are interested, or at least the two of them apart from yourself and the 'Aardvark' who logged in between 9am and 9pm today!

Enough is enough, however, and I will now join Olliedog in stepping back from offering active assistance, though wishing the Dualers every success in their future career.
